Continuous Mixing Equipment
Depending on your level of automation, RBS offers batch and continuous mixing systems.
Batch mixing is not precise and frequently leads to dough variations that negatively affect the consistency of your finished products. Continuous mixing, on the other hand, can produce large quantities of uniform dough.
Exact Continuous Mixers come in several sizes, ranging from 50 to 10,000 kg/hour. Different models are available based primarily on the moisture level of your dough and the number of mixing stages you require. For example:
- Bread, buns, rolls, English muffins, tortillas – The Exact HDX or High Development Continuous Mixer is designed for ultra-high absorption doughs and offers dough production rates from 1,500 to 10,000 kg/hour.
- Crackers, pretzels, pizza, bagels, pet treats & other wheat-based products – The Exact EX Continuous Mixer is ideal for all but the lowest viscosity powder/liquid mixtures and offers dough production rates from 100 to 10,000 kg/hour.
- Cookies, muffins, snacks, batters, icings, and pastes - The Exact Mixing MX Continuous Mixer is our most versatile mixer and offers dough production rates from 500-6,000 kg/hour.
Forming Equipment

Explore the Thomas L. Green Rotary Moulder. It efficiently produces high definition, 3D rotary moulded shapes by pressing dough into an interchangeable die roll, which can be equipped with segmented rings for simultaneous, multiple shape production.
For extruded and co-extruded products, the Low Pressure (LP) Extruder enables you to consistently and accurately produce structural, flat, and filled extruded shapes and sticks. We also manufacture the JA High-Pressure Extruder, which can create corn curls and corn ball shapes, onion rings, popcorn, and more,
We also manufacture a range of Thomas L. Green dough sheeters that create consistent dough sheets that are critical to automated packaging systems after the oven.

Reading Pretzel SPECTRUM OVEN® - This oven offers radiation, convection, and conduction heat transfer options in a single modular design. The zones are built and controlled separately for more precise control of product quality. It is well-suited to baking pretzels, potato chips, and other crisp baked snacks.
Add a separate optional Multi-Pass Dryer for faster oven speeds, more process control, and greater production throughput. The Dryer efficiently reduces product core moistures to improve overall quality and storage characteristics.
