What is Continuous Mixing?

Continuous Mixing means that ingredients are continuously metered directly into the mixing chamber, generating a constant stream of mixed dough at mixer exit. Continuous Mixing eliminates problems associated with batch cycles and produces a consistent product all day, every day.

Continuous Mixers

The Exact Mixing MX Continuous Mixer is exceptionally versatile. With dough production rates of 50 to 2,000 kg/hour, it is designed to accommodate a wide range of products, from biscuits, cookies, and snacks, to batters, icings, and pastes.

Sheeters

Reading Bakery Systems offers multiple sheeter options depending on the type of product you want to produce. The Thomas L. Green 2-Roll Sheeter, for example, creates a consistent dough sheet ready for dough forming or further reduction. Two powered stainless steel rolls rotate toward one another and draw raw dough into a single sheet with uniform characteristics and thickness. The rolls are manufactured to exact concentricity tolerances to maintain consistent dough sheet formation.

Extruders

The Reading Pretzel Fried Snack Extruder is a flexible machine that creates fried snacks such as potato rings, potato sticks, and ethnic noodles. It can process up to 3,000 lbs (1500 kg) per hour. This low-pressure extruder is taller and more open, allowing it to easily mate with frying equipment. The extruder has pre-feed rollers to manage dough flow for optimum consistency from when the dough enters the infeed hopper until it is cut off at the die face by the high-speed bandcutter (at up to 260 cuts per minute). Extruded product is delivered to the fryer by a belted conveyor or by incorporating an optional oil “free float” conveying section.
