Continuous Mixers: Exact Mixing Continuous Mixers come in all sizes, from 50 to 10,000 kg/hour, and are available based primarily on dough moisture levels or dough mixing stages.
Dough Forming: Our 2-Roll, 3-Roll and 4-Roll Sheeters produce hole-free sheets of uniform density to ready the dough for forming, lamination or further reduction. The Reading Pretzel Low Pressure (LP) Extruder enables customers to create a variety of structural, flat and filled extruded and co-extruded shapes and sticks. The Thomas L. Green Rotary Moulder efficiently produces high definition, three dimensional shapes by pressing dough into a die roll.
High-Quality Ovens: The Thomas L. Green PRISM OVEN has been trusted in the biscuit, cookie, and cracker industry for more than a century. A flexible single-pass baking platform, it is designed to enhance product consistency. The Reading Pretzel SPECTRUM OVEN® offers the same flexibility as the PRISM OVEN for baking pretzels, bread snacks, baked crisps, and potato snacks.
Turnkey Snack Production Systems
In addition to individual equipment, RBS manufactures and installs complete turnkey production systems that feature the latest technology and can help you efficiently and profitably produce your snack foods. They include:
The innovative Hard & Soft Biscuit System creates a variety of sheeted and rotary moulded biscuits and has the flexibility to integrate batch or continuous mixing. Production volumes range from 500 – 2500 kg/hr.
Our extrusion-based Fried Potato Ring System is ideal for the flexible, efficient, high volume production of extruded fried snacks, such as the popular fried potato ring product. It is capable of producing finished product at 200-1000 kg/hour.
RBS also offers a modular Stackable Chip System to reliably and efficiently produce fabricated stackable fried chips. The system includes a specialized FX Continuous Mixing System, 2-Roll Sheeter and Rotary Cutting Station and can produce between 500-1,000 kg/hr depending on the fryer capacity (not supplied by RBS).
Customers looking for expanded snack manufacturing opportunities using corn, rice, or other cereal ingredients, should consider the cutting-edge RBS Expanded Snack System. It enables you to produce corn curls and corn ball shapes, popcorn, onion rings, and more. Production volumes range from 150-400 kh/hr of pre-seasoned product.
American and Canadian customers may also be interested in the Popped Snack System designed by RBS and Incomec, a Belgium-based manufacturer of popping/puffing equipment, to create healthy, tasty snacks that are popped, not fried.
