Mixing

Exact Continuous Mixers offer customers the ability to produce large quantities of uniform dough and, therefore, a more consistent finished product than can be accomplished with batch mixing. They come in a variety of sizes, ranging from 50 to 10,000 kg/hour, based primarily on dough moisture levels and number of mixing stages, for example:

  • Exact MX Continuous Mixer, our most versatile mixer, is well suited for a wide range of products including cookies, snacks, pizza, batters, icings, and pastes. 
  • Exact EX Continuous Mixer is ideal for low-absorption, stiff, wheat-based doughs, such as crackers, bagels, pretzels, sweet goods and pet treats.
  • Exact HDX Continuous Mixer is well-suited to ultra-high absorption doughs for buns, breads, rolls, English muffins or tortillas.

Baking

Customers in the global biscuit, cookie and cracker industry have trusted the Thomas L. Green PRISM OVEN for more than a century. The single-pass baking platform is designed to improve consistency and promote uniform product quality, color, taste and texture.

The Reading Pretzel SPECTRUM OVEN® offers the same flexibility as the PRISM OVEN for baking pretzels, bread snacks, crisps and potato snacks, with a number of different combinations of heat transfer zones in one modular design.

Turnkey Systems

RBS also manufactures and installs turnkey production systems with the latest technology to efficiently and profitably produce baked snacks. Our systems create sheeted and rotary moulded products and have the flexibility to integrate batch or continuous mixing.

Our Multi-Crisp Baked Snack System enables you to produce a variety of wheat, potato, multi-grain and corn masa flour crisps on one flexible system. The system can produce between 250-1000 kg/hr of finished product, depending on the number of oven sections after the dough sheeting equipment.

The modular Stackable Fried Chip System is designed to reliably and efficiently produce fabricated stackable chips. The single-reduction, 2-Roll Sheeter produces a continuous dough sheet that is discharged directly onto the Rotary Cutter infeed conveyor.  The die roll on the Rotary Cutter separates the dough sheet into distinct shapes.

Our innovative RBS Expanded Snack System enables you to create puffy, crunchy, direct expanded snacks made from cereal ingredients, such as rice, corn, and potato. These ready-to-eat snacks come in a variety of simple shapes, including curls, balls, rings, animals, and stars, and are often textured and coated with salt, spices, or cheese to make them tasty and fun. 

Today, healthier snacks, particularly granola bars, have become more popular. As RBS continues to help customers capitalize on consumer trends and maximize their operations, we have designed the new Granola Production System that incorporates efficiency, reliability, and flexibility to help our customers optimize production. Production volumes range from 500 – 2500 kg/hr.
