The Reading Pretzel Low Pressure (LP) Extruder is a flexible alternative to a conventional dough forming and sheeting system.
Completely redesigned to improve safety, efficiency and ease of cleaning, the LP Extruder enables you to create a wide variety of structural and flat extruded shapes on one production line, including hard pretzel shapes, sticks, braids, crackers, sushki and co-extruded products.
Product changeover is as simple as exchanging one compression head and die for another one with a different shape within minutes. Extruders may be configured with multiple die sets in 13? (325mm) and 15? (375mm) wide increments.

Fried Snack Extruder

This Low Pressure Extruder is taller and more open, allowing for easy mating with frying equipment and the installation of optional free float sections to discharge cut product into a fryer.
Consistent dough flow is managed by the Extruder from the time it enters the infeed hopper until it is cleanly sliced off at the die face by a high-speed bandcutter (up to 260 cuts per minute).
Filled Stick Extruder
When you want to create sticks filled with soft fillings, such as cheese, chocolate or peanut butter, the Reading Pretzel Filled Stick Extruder System will meet your co-extrusion needs.
A Low Pressure Extruder and pump system combine raw batches of dough and metered dough filling into a specifically shaped, filled rope. The dough and filling exit through a die plate that gives the co-extruded dough rope its exterior shape.
Product changeover is simple, involving an easy exchange of die plates and compression head assemblies. The double walled extrusion housing can also be designed with an optional temperature control system to better manage the character of your sensitive dough.
