Low Pressure Extrusion

Pretzel bakeries can create a wide variety of structural and flat extruded shapes on one production line with the Reading Pretzel Low Pressure (LP) Extruder, including hard pretzel shapes, sticks, braids, sushki and co-extruded products. Product changeover is as simple as exchanging one compression head and die for another one with a different shape.

Guillotine Cutter

Whether used as a standalone machine or integrated into an existing frame and control production system, the Reading Pretzel Guillotine Cutter cuts products before or after baking and allows the operator create a pretzel as short as one inch (25 mm) at the press of a button. A single cutting blade allows for consistent cuts across the width of the product zone.

Pretzel Cooker

The Reading Pretzel Cooker evenly cooks or steams pretzels and pretzel-type products to ensure consistent texture, pH and color prior to the baking process.. It utilizes a dipping bath or waterfall system to apply caustic solution inside the cooker to ensure proper recipe control.

Topping Dispensers

Distribute toppings more consistently with our full range of Omega Dispensers that feature rotating rolls for uniform application of pretzel salt, poppy seeds and sesame seeds, dispensing screens for delivering fine-grain spices and cinnamon, and vibrating trays that dispense toppings such as caraway seeds, nut pieces and seed/spice mixes.

Tunnel Oven

The Reading Pretzel SPECTRUM OVEN® is an extremely flexible platform for customers who wish to produce high volumes of pretzels and snacks. It offers radiation, convection and conduction heat transfer options in a single modular design, making it an excellent choice for extruded pretzels and snacks. The easy-to-use system provides the operator with complete control of oven temperature, humidity, and product bake time.

The oven over kiln option creates a two-pass baking chamber that maximizes your available space. An optional, separate Multi-Pass Dryer provides faster oven speeds, greater production throughput, and more process control.

Customers who are interested in producing pretzel shapes and sticks at lower production volumes may prefer the Vector Series Pretzel System that is capable of producing from 125-500 kg/hr of finished product.
