Continuous Mixing Equipment
Consider our continuous mixing technology when you are interested in producing a more consistent dough and finished product. Our Exact Continuous Mixers come in many sizes, ranging from 50 to 10,000 kg/hour.
Cookies, pizza, snacks– For cookies, pizza, snacks, and other products that require the blending of ingredients before adding flour, the Exact MX Continuous Mixer is an excellent choice. It is our most versatile mixer and offers dough production rates from 150 to 2,000 kg/hour.
Crackers, pretzels, bagels, pet treats & other wheat-based products– The Exact EX Continuous Mixer is ideal for everything but the lowest viscosity powder/liquid mixtures. This mixer offers dough production rates from 50 to 10,000 kg/hour.
Buns, breads, rolls, English muffins– The Exact HDX or High Development Continuous Mixer is designed for ultra-high absorption doughs. It offers dough production rates from 1,500 to 10,000 kg/hour.
Forming Equipment
RBS proudly offers customers an extensive range of other equipment for dough handling and forming in between the mixer and the oven.
Explore the Thomas L. Green Rotary Moulder, which efficiently produces high definition, three dimensional rotary moulded shapes by pressing dough into a die roll. The interchangeable die roll can be supplied with segmented rings for simultaneous, multiple shape production.
For extruded and co-extruded products, the Low Pressure (LP) Extruder enables consistent and accurate production of a variety of structural, flat and filled extruded shapes and sticks. Unique product shapes can be designed into custom-made extrusion dies, and product changeover takes just minutes.
Reading Bakery Systems also offers a single screw, high-pressure extrusion system for producing expanded snacks from corn, rice and other cereal ingredients. The standard JA High Pressure Extruder produces corn curls and corn ball shapes, onion rings, popcorn and other snack products.
The Thomas L. Green 2 Roll Sheeter creates a consistent dough sheet ready for dough forming or further reduction. Sheet thickness can be adjusted during production to accommodate the type of dough and the requirements of the downstream equipment. Product pieces are then cut by the Rotary Cutter interchangeable die rolls before being baked and dried
Baking/Drying Equipment
With the Reading Pretzel SPECTRUM OVEN®, customers benefit from a variety of heat transfer combinations in one modular design. The single-pass convection baking platform features operator-controlled air temperature, circulation speed, exhaust, and moisture removal for reliable, consistent baking of snacks.
A separate optional Multi-Pass Dryer provides faster oven speeds, greater production throughput, and more process control. The Dryer efficiently reduces product core moistures, improving overall quality and storage characteristics.
