About the Vertical Spindle Mixer
The Thomas L. Green Vertical Spindle Mixer allows the dough to be mixed twice and remain in the same trough throughout the process. After the first mixing stage, the dough rests in the trough and can then be repositioned beneath the spindles and remixed with the final ingredients.
The mixing action is gentle, making it ideal for doughs with ingredients that can be easily damaged during the mixing process.
A trusted workhorse in the baking industry for more than a century, the Vertical Spindle Mixer now has three independent commercially available gearboxes, one for each vertical spindle, hardened ways for the vertical movement of the mixing head, improved guarding, easier cleaning, improved structural rigidity, and a more modern appearance.
