Continuous Mixing

The Exact EX Continuous Mixer is ideal for both soft, chewy and hard, crunchy dry pet food and pet treats. Dough delivery can be automated with a mini-laytime conveyor and chunker, kibbler or sheeter attachments.

Compared to batch mixing, Continuous Mixing offers several benefits, including:

Dough Forming Equipment

For rotary moulded pet food and pet treats, the Thomas L. Green Rotary Moulder efficiently produces high definition, three dimensional shapes by pressing dough into a die roll.

For extruded and co-extruded pet food, the Reading Pretzel Low Pressure (LP) Extruder enables consistent and accurate production of a variety of structural, flat and filled extruded shapes and sticks.

For sheeted pet food, the Thomas L. Green Sheeter generates a consistent dough sheet, and Gauging Stations ensure a gentle reduction in sheet thickness prior to shape forming. Scrapless geometric shapes and distinct shapes can be formed by the Rotary Cutting Station.

For sticks and nuggets, the single-blade Guillotine Cutter is used to cut products uniformly before or after baking, allowing the operator to create a product size as short as one inch (25 mm) at the press of a button.

Baking & Drying Solutions

With the Reading Pretzel SPECTRUM OVEN®, customers benefit from a variety of heat transfer combinations in one modular design. The single pass convection baking platform is designed for balanced and consistent baking of pet treats. Operators control the product moisture removal rate for maximum quality assurance. A separate dryer may be combined with the oven zone to create a space efficient two-pass baking chamber.
