Continuous Mixing Equipment
The Exact EX Continuous Mixer will help you produce more consistent dough, a distinct advantage when compared to batch mixing. Continuous mixing can be utilized for both soft and chewy and hard and crunchy pet food.
Our continuous mixing process is ideal because the products are both well-mixed and heated to the proper kill temperature in the mixer. The dough can be quickly heated to the kill temperature within a range of 1 degree and then cooled. This is done automatically and without additional dough handling. Dough delivery can be automated with a mini-laytime conveyor and chunker or kibbler attachments.
Shaping & Forming Equipment
The Thomas L. Green Rotary Moulder is designed to produce high-definition 3-D shapes. It presses dough into interchangeable die rolls and can be supplied with segmented rings for simultaneous, multi-shape production.
The flexible Reading Pretzel Low Pressure (LP) Extruder enables you to produce a consistent and accurate variety of structural, flat and filled extruded shapes and sticks on one production line. Quickly change shapes by exchanging compression heads and dies.
For uniform sheeted pet food and pet treats, combine the Thomas L. Green Sheeter with Gauging Stations for precise thicknesses prior to shape forming. Scrapless geometric shapes and distinct shapes can be formed by the Rotary Cutting Station.
Baking Equipment
Customers who incorporate the Reading Pretzel SPECTRUM OVEN® in their pet food process benefit from a variety of heat transfer combinations in one modular design. The single pass convection baking platform is designed for balanced and consistent baking. Operators control the product moisture removal rate for maximum quality assurance. A dryer may be combined with the oven zones to create a space efficient two-pass baking chamber.
