The Exact EX Continuous Mixer is an excellent choice whether you produce soft and chewy or hard and crunchy pet treats. The dough is gently mixed and developed without generating excessive heat. Dough delivery can be automated with a mini-laytime conveyor and chunker or kibbler attachments. Dough production rates range from 100 to 10,000 kg/hour.

Extruded and co-extruded products: The Reading Pretzel Low Pressure (LP) Extruder offers a flexible, lower cost alternative to conventional dough forming and sheeting systems. Create pet foods and treats in a variety of structural and flat extruded and co-extruded shapes and sticks. Product changeover is simple and quick.
Sheeted products: The Thomas L. Green 3-Roll Sheeter features two forcing rolls that draw the dough into the pressurized cavity between the three rolls. The dough is compacted and discharged as a continuous sheet. Gauging Stationswill ensure accurate thickness prior to shape forming. The Thomas L. Green Rotary Cutting Station accurately and continuously cuts discrete product shapes out of a single dough sheet.
Moulded products: Use the Thomas L. Green Rotary Moulderto press dough into a die roll and produce high definition, three dimensional shapes for your pet treats. Engraved brass die rolls are interchangeable and can be supplied with segmented rings for simultaneous, multiple shape production.
Nuggets and sticks: The Reading Pretzel Guillotine Cutter is designed to uniformly cut products before or after baking. It can be operated in a continuous mode at up to 175 cuts per minute, or a cycle mode at speeds up to 50 cuts per minute, while operators control the cut mode and speed from a local control panel.

Innovations in Baking & Drying

The Reading Pretzel SPECTRUM OVENĀ® offers a variety of heat transfer combinations in one modular design. The single pass convection baking platform is designed for balanced and consistent baking of pet treats. Operators control the product moisture removal rate for maximum quality assurance.

An optional SPECTRUM Multi-Pass Dryer provides faster oven speeds, greater production throughput, and more process control. The Dryer efficiently reduces product core moistures improving overall quality and storage characteristics.
