Continuous Mixing

Continuous mixing with the Exact EX Continuous Mixer will help you produce more consistent dough, a distinct advantage over batch mixing. The mixer uniformly mixes products with a variety of dough moisture levels and is ideal for gentle kneading of wheat-based products, such as pretzels, pizza, crackers, sweet goods, and pet treats.

For hydroscopic powders such as potato ­flakes used to make fabricated potato chips or any other low moisture mixtures, the Exact FX Continuous Mixer is designed to distribute small amounts of moisture evenly into large amounts of powder.

Extruded Pretzel and Snack Systems

The Reading Pretzel Low Pressure (LP) Extruder allows for the creation of pretzel shapes, sticks and other extruded snack products on one production line.

Unique product shapes can be designed into custom made extrusion dies, and product changeover is as simple as exchanging one compression head and die for another one with a different shape. The simple assembly means product changeover takes just minutes. Incorporate the Guillotine Cutter for precision cutting and product separation of sticks and nuggets before baking.

Multi-Crisp Baked Snacks

The Multi-Crisp Baked Snack System allows you to produce a variety of wheat, potato and corn masa flour crisps on one flexible system. The system can produce between 250-1000 kg/hr of finished product, depending on the number of oven sections after the dough sheeting equipment.

After the continuous mixing process, which ensures even moisture distribution throughout the dough and consistent and appealing product textures, the dough is delivered to the 2-Roll Sheeter. Product pieces are cut by the Rotary Cutter and then baked and dried in a convection SPECTRUM OVEN® system.

Stackable Fried Chips

Reading Bakery Systems also offers a modular Stackable Chip System to reliably and efficiently produce fabricated stackable chips. The system can produce between 250-750 kg/hr depending on the fryer capacity.

The Exact FX Continuous Mixing System was specifically designed for this chip process. It evenly distributes moisture throughout the potato dough by using a specialized liquid injection system and a revolutionary mixer shaft design.

The single-reduction, Thomas L. Green 2-Roll Sheeter produces a continuous dough sheet that is discharged directly onto the Rotary Cutter infeed conveyor. The cut product is then ready for the fryer (which is not supplied by RBS).
