Mixing Solutions
For crackers, pretzels, pizza, pie crusts, sweet goods, pet treats and other wheat-based snack applications, consider the Exact Mixing EX Continuous Mixer. It is designed specifically for a wide range of products with dough moisture levels that range from very low to very high. Low moisture, stiff products are easily mixed, and dough is developed without generating excessive heat.
The Exact FX Continuous Mixer evenly distributes small amounts of moisture into large amounts of powder and is ideal for hydroscopic powders, such as potato flakes used to make fabricated potato chips, and other low moisture mixtures.
Forming Solutions
For rotary moulded snacks, the Thomas L. Green Rotary Moulder efficiently produces high definition, three dimensional shapes by pressing dough into a die roll. The interchangeable die roll is made of engraved brass and can be supplied with segmented rings for simultaneous, multiple shape production.
For extruded and co-extruded products, the Reading Pretzel Low Pressure (LP) Extruder will enable you to create a variety of snacks on one production line, including hard pretzel shapes, sticks, braids, crackers, sushki and co-extruded products. It allows for high-speed production of complex shapes and is a flexible alternative to conventional dough forming and sheeting systems.
For sheeted snack products, the Thomas L. Green Sheeter will create a consistent dough sheet and Gauging Stations will ensure accurate thickness prior to forming. Form scrapless geometric shapes and distinct shapes with the Rotary Cutting Station.
Oven & Dryer Solutions
The flexible SPECTRUM OVEN® offers a variety of heat transfer combinations in a single modular design. This single pass convection baking platform is designed for balanced and consistent baking of extruded pretzels and snacks, baked snack crisps and pet treats, with operator controlled exhaust, air temperature, circulation velocity, and moisture removal rate.
Combine an optional SPECTRUM Multi-Pass Dryer with the oven zone to generate faster oven speeds, greater production throughput, and more process control.
