Continuous Mixers 

Exact Mixing Continuous Mixing technology from RBS enables customers to simplify their mixing process and eliminate the undesirable dough variations caused by batch mixing. Models include (but are not limited to): 

The Exact Mixing MX Continuous Mixer, our most versatile mixer, is designed for products such as cookies, snacks, batters, icings, and pastes. It is also an ideal first stage mixer for processes that entail creme up and pre-blend stages. 

The Exact Mixing HDX Continuous Mixer is a superb high-development mixer for ultra-high-absorption doughs, such as buns, bread, rolls, English muffins, and similar products.  

The Exact Mixing EX Continuous Mixer uniformly mixes products with a variety of dough moisture levels, including pretzels, crackers, pet treats, and other wheat-based products ,and is suitable for all but the lowest viscosity powder/liquid mixtures. 

Flexible, High-Quality Ovens 

The Thomas L. Green PRISM OVEN has been trusted in the biscuit, cookie and cracker industry for over 120 years. It is a flexible single-pass baking platform designed to enhance product consistency. Features include: 

  • Direct gas fired (DGF), convection, and Emithermic (radiant / convection) baking zones  
  • Repeatable control of time, temperature, humidity and type of heat transfer 
  • Better baking efficiency with uniform quality, color, taste and texture 

The Reading Pretzel SPECTRUM OVEN® offers the same flexibility as the PRISM OVEN for baking pretzels, bread snacks, baked crisps and potato snacks. It features: 

  • Radiation, convection and conduction heat transfer options 
  • Separate heating zones for more precise control 
  • Repeatable control of time, temperature, humidity and type of heat transfer 
  • Stainless steel interior construction 

A separate optional Multi-Pass Dryer provides faster oven speeds, greater production throughput, and more process control. The Dryer efficiently reduces product core moistures, improving overall quality and storage characteristics. 

Turnkey Production Systems  

The Multi-Crisp Baked Snack System enables you to produce a variety of wheat, potato, multi-grain and corn masa flour crisps on one flexible system. The system can produce between 250-1000 kg/hr of finished product, depending on the number of oven sections after the dough sheeting equipment.  

Our Pretzel & Snack System incorporates the Reading Pretzel Low Pressure (LP) Extruder which provides the flexibility to create a variety of pretzel shapes, sticks, braids, filled sticks and bread snacks on one production line. Product changeover is as simple as exchanging one compression head and die for another one with a different shape.  

The modern, high volume Cracker System enables you to create straight sheeted, dual sheeted and laminated crackers. Sheeting systems can range from 600mm to 1.5m in width, and production volumes range from 200-5500 kg/hr depending on oven length, width and product type.
