Thomas W. Purkiss has joined Reading Bakery Systems (RBS), one of the world’s leading snack production systems manufacturers, as director of parts and service sales. In his new position, he will focus on the continued growth of the parts and service department.

Purkiss’ responsibilities include the planning and execution of parts marketing activities, attendance at trade shows, development of new product offerings, and cultivation of customer relationships. He also serves as the primary project manager for larger scale upgrade and retrofit projects sold through the parts department. Additional duties include assistance with expediting parts orders and efforts to grow RBS customer service support offerings.
Purkiss has more than 37 years of food process equipment experience. Prior to joining RBS, he served in shop floor positions for saw and assembly operations, and as shop supervisor, field service manager, project manager and aftermarket sales account manager.
